The radio station with
the callletters DCF77, located in Mainflingen, near Frankfurt am Main,
Germany is the official german broadcaster of encoded time signals.
It broadcasts exactly at the frequency of 77.5 kHZ, and under good
conditions its signal can be received at a distance of upo to 1500
kilometers, covering the bulk of continental Europe.
The signal is processed by automatic radio clocks, such as the
Junghans Mega, to display the exact time.
